Mason Dixie Biscuit Co. premiers its breakout restaurant as a drive thru and roadside kitchenette in Northeast D.C., serving biscuits and fried chicken by Chef Jason Gehring
Mason Dixie continues to garner attention on a national level, with accolades from Food Network Magazine, Garden & Gun, Martha Stewart Living, and more. Chef Jason Gehring spent the last two and a half years refining the menu for the fresh-fast concept through Mason Dixie’s stint at Union Market and various pop-ups throughout Washington, D.C.
A nostalgic throw-back to a vintage roadside kitchenette, Mason Dixie Biscuit Co.’s Drive Thru is a fresh-fast restaurant focusing on hearty biscuit sandwiches, juicy fried chicken, and creamy frozen “Cultshakes” by DC’s premier ice creamery, Milk Cult. Mason Dixie serves versions of these delicious Southern roadside classics made-to- order, using fresh, preservative-free, hormone-free, and high quality local ingredients with heart-warming Southern hospitality.

We are experiencing such a high level of demand we are unable to source organic, local, or responsible products as easily, we require new equipment and additional staff. We are trying our best to keep our doors open as long as possible but we are going through over 3,000 lbs of chicken and 8,000 biscuits per week. Trust us, we are trying. For now, our hours are:
TUESDAY - FRIDAY Breakfast Only 7 am – 11 am Lunch Only 11 am – 4 pm
SATURDAY - SUNDAY Brunch 9 am – 3 pm
